Saturday Snapshot - July 20

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

For the next few weeks, I'll be posting pictures from our recent camping trip.  It was the first time we took our children tent camping and it was a wonderful experience for all of us.  As soon as we returned home, we booked two more camping trips this summer!

This is my husband and our children at the beach in Oceanside, Oregon.  Oceanside is unique among towns on the Oregon coast as it is hasn't fallen victim to the tourist trap (yet).  It was the first beach we visited on our trip and our kids had great fun.

  1. Sounds like your trip was fun with the kids. I like the sound of "Oceanside" - it's the name of my title company. :-)

  2. I love seeing your summer pics from the other side of the world (although I can't really complain about the mild winter we're having this year in Sydney).
I love warm days, beaches and summer clothes :-)

  3. Looks completely blissful. I often think back views tell you more about people, as they are not aware you are there, and so not posing.

  5. What a beautiful coast! I like our coasts that are less populated, too.

  6. We visited Oceanside last summer. Beautiful. Quiet. We went in early June and it was so cold that I had to wear a jacket and gloves! We are accustomed to the beaches here, along the Texas Gulf Coast, that are warm all year long, so it was quite a shock. The water was beautiful and the shores were quiet, and that was quite unexpected, too!

Here's my Saturday Snapshot, a visit with children's picture book author and illustrator, John Rocco.

    1. Nope, I can't take credit for the t-shirt....we bought it that way! However, I've thought about trying to do tie-dye with my daughter....

  20. That ocean looks so inviting ... would love to walk the surf line and get my legs wet, but those west coast breakers can be huge!
