Saturday Snapshot - August 17

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

I'll come clean...we haven't done much that is picture-worthy lately.  Basically, we are in full-out potty-training mode right now so we're staying close to the bathroom.

So, I'm pulling out some pictures I took almost a year ago.  I apologize if I've posted these as a Saturday Snapshot before--I can't remember if I have or not.  Anyway, these are from a hike we took on my birthday last year to Virginia Lake out on Sauvie Island (an island in the Columbia River, just west of Portland).

  1. It looks very peaceful. I like the shot of your hubby carrying your youngest on his shoulders - very sweet.

  6. I used to love taking photos of our kids walking the paths and trails when we took them hiking ... so suggestive of their march toward being their own adults one day ... your photos take me back! In a good way! What fun memories !
