Well, I meant to post this last week, but it just didn't happen. Last Saturday was my son's birthday, so we had the family party and I had some other things going on...so....
Anyway, we are finally settling into our school year schedule around here. Even though my kids are still young--my daughter is in pre-school and my son is at home full time--they keep me busy. In addition to 3 days of preschool, I have swimming, gymnastics, and soccer lessons for the kids. Phew! I have managed to keep up our reading schedule. It helps that the kids are loving Halloween books right now. I think our favorite is a holdover from last year, Goodnight Goon.
I was going to do a September wrap up for this post but, since it is already mid-October, I think I'll wait until November to start that. Stick with me, I'll get a hang on this soon!
I was going through my TBR piles/lists/etc today and I only have 4 more books that I have to read this year. I'm currently working on We Are Water by Wally Lamb and This is the Story of a Happy Marriage by Ann Patchett, both of which are solicited for review. After that, I have The Supreme Macaroni Company by Adriana Trigiani--this book just appeared in my mailbox one day and I've been waiting to read it so that I could post my review close to the actual publication date. Then, finally, I'll get to read The Fault in Our Stars. It is the November selection for my book club and I think I am one of the last people in the world to read it!
After that, I'll be plugging away at my TBR list, trying to make a good dent before 2014 rolls around!
My other project, and I put this here to warn my GoodReads friends, is that I need to go through and cross post my old review over there. So, if my reviews start plugging your activity feed....sorry!
