February (and January) 2014 Monthly Wrap Up

I meant to post one of these last month and just didn't get around to it, so you all will be getting 2 for 1 this month!

In January, I read:
Belle Cora by Philip Margulies
A Prayer Journal by Flannery O'Conner (No Review)
Pieces of Someday by Jan Vallone
Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg
Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder (No Review)
Under the Wide and Starry Sky by Nancy Horan
Etched on Me by Jenn Crowell
The Sense of Touch by Ron Parsons

In February, I read:
Beezus and Ramona by Beverly Cleary (No Review)
The Secrets of Happy Families by Bruce Feiler
While Beauty Slept by Elizabeth Blackwell
Vienna Nocturne by Vivien Shotwell
The Wives of Los Alamos by TaraShea Nesbit
Safe with Me by Amy Hatvany (Review to be posted 03/07/2014)
The Harem Midwife by Roberta Rich
There's a Green Plastic Monkey in My Purse by Jessie Clement (Review to be posted 03/03/2014)
Hope Street, Jerusalem by Irris Makler (Review to be posted 03/11/2014)

Right now, I'm reading:
Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder (I'm reading this to my daughter and I do not plan to review it)
Raising Boys by Steve Biddulp (Review to be posted 03/04/2014)
The Ogallala Road by Julene Bair (Review to be posted 03/05/2014)
The Unlikely Disciple by Kevin Roose (A re-read for my book club.  Review to be posted 03/21/2014)

In other news:

  • I am continuing to relive my 2007 honeymoon through Saturday Snapshot posts.  Next stop (I think)...BERLIN!
  • I was featured over at Book Bloggers International.  I'm sort of embarrassed by some of my answers.  Other bloggers have these nicely written, thoughtful responses--and I admitted that I do most of my reading on the toilet.
  • In January (or maybe the end of December), I finally hooked up with Netgalley.  I'm still not sure if that was the best or worst thing ever.  Seriously, that place is like crack for bibliophiles.
There you go!  My plan is to post one of these wrap ups at the end of each month (except maybe July--we'll probably be on the "Great American Road Trip" then).  I know...it's just what you've all been waiting for!
