This week has been pretty crazy over here. My daughter was in Zoo Camp, which was Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. MAX, our light rail, runs right to the zoo, so I decided it would be a much better idea to take that than to fight traffic and pay for parking, so my son and I have been making 4 train trips a day, which is surprisingly tiring!
I did think that my son needed some special things to do while my daughter was at camp, so I planned a couple of outings. The first, on Monday, was to the Children's Museum, which is in the same complex as the zoo. My son had never been and, man, he LOVED it! If I had been thinking clearly, I would have brought my DSLR instead of just my iPhone, because many of the pictures I took were just too blurry, but there are a few good ones!
Yes, he's wearing a superhero mask.....
Brushing the crocodile's teeth
The water area was a big hit
Climbing a rock "wall"
Playing with the giant Brite-Lite
Checking out the new "Outdoor Adventure" exhibit
This picture was taken about 30 seconds before he jumped in the water. Sigh!
Trying to Hula-Hoop. He comes by his lack of ability naturally.
A maze for the kids...not sure what to call it...a willow maze? A reed maze?
