Saturday Snapshot - July 26

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

Our next big stop was Yellowstone.  We actually stayed in Livingston, Montana (about an hour from the North entrance) because my husband's family reunion was up there.  However, on our first day, we entered through West Yellowstone and came up that way.  It ended up being a great opportunity for me to get out my new zoom lens!  I had fun playing with it, but I quickly learned that it is not the best lens for landscape pictures.  Oh well!

Here are some highlights from our first day!

We had a quiet picnic spot picked out and when we got there, we found this guy had beaten us to it.  Needless to say, we thought we'd better let him enjoy his lunch!

Not Old Faithful...this was a geyser in another area of the park.

Also not Old Faithful!  This is the Castle Geyser that went off when Old Faithful was supposed to go (no biggie, Old Faithful went off 9 minutes later) and kept going for over half an hour.
