We actually got home a day early--I had planned 4 days back from Minnesota, but my husband convinced me to get it down to 3. I'm glad I did...when I'm homeward bound, I want to GET HOME right away!
I will admit I didn't get to read quite as much as I'd hoped on this trip, but I still got through a handful of books. The first half (and maybe more) of August will be busy, busy, busy on the blog!
So, here's how July shaped up:
In July, I read:
The Boleyn Reckoning by Laura Andersen
Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani
On the Banks of Plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder (no review, but there will be a future Saturday Snapshot post about this....)
The Widow Waltz by Sally Koslow (review to be posted 8/4)
Secrets of the Lighthouse by Santa Montefiore (review to be posted 8/5)
A Year After Henry by Cathie Pelletier (review to be posted 8/6)
Big Cherry Holler by Adriana Trigiani (review to be posted 8/7)
Her Next Chapter by Lori Day (review to be posted 8/8)
The UnAmericans by Molly Antopol (review to be posted 8/11)
By the Shores of Silver Lake by Laura Ingalls Wilder (see the note for On the Banks of Plum Creek)
The Wilder Life by Wendy McClure (review to be posted 8/12)
In July, I DNF'ed ("Did Not Finish"):
Longbourn by Jo Baker
Right Now, I'm Reading:
The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder
Three Bargains by Tania Malik
When the World Was Young by Elizabeth Gaffney
In Other News:
- As I said, things are going to get busy around here. I have several reviews all written and ready to go, plus, I'm planning to have more ready by the time the ones in the pipeline are published.
- All that being said, I am hoping to post more non-review posts around here. Stay tuned!
