It's Monday...What Are You Reading? (10/26)

Well, folks, this has been another crazy week for me!  I've really got to hit the sack, so I'm just going to cut straight to the business today...

Right Now, I'm reading:
The Main Book:
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
I thought I'd be finished with this one by now, but things have just been so crazy around here that I haven't been able to devote as much time to it as I would have like.

The Purse Book:
The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan
This is another installment in my "learn to appreciate romance" project.  I've read enough of it that I'll finish it, but I don't think it will be one of my favorites.  Part of that is because the last romance I read, A Bollywood Affair, was just so wonderful and this one can't compare.  It is also a college romance, which just doesn't interest me as much.

With My Daughter:
Clementine by Sara Pennypacker
Folks, we ARE going to finish this book this week, even if it kills us!

Last Week, I finished reading:
The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore (review to be posted 1/12/2016)
Look, I finally finished this one!  My mistake was to try to read it at bed...I was just too brain dead at that point.  Once I started reading it during the day, I flew through it.  I finished it just in time for my book club, which I ended up not being able to make....sigh!

A Memoir of Grief (Continued) by Jennifer Weiner (no review)
This was one of a handful of novellas that Weiner has published for Amazon's Kindle.  It was surprisingly different from her books, which I appreciated.  And I did like it for what it was--a long short-story.  If you like short stories and/or Jennifer Weiner, I would recommend it.  However, I don't know if I would just give it a blanket recommendation.

The Perfect Comeback of Caroline Jacobs by Matthew Dicks (review to be posted 1/14/2016)
This was a fun, quick read...in fact, I almost felt that it was too quick.  But, it really fit the bill for what I needed this week.
