Saturday Snapshot - July 2

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

After our hike at Silver Creek Falls, we headed into my hometown of Salem, Oregon.  After a late lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant, we went to the park I grew up visiting.  It's a neat little park with two parts.  The "open" part has tennis courts, softball fields, and--now--a playground.  Then there is a second part of the park with a trail that goes through a meadow and then down through the woods (with lots of little side trails to visit the creek).  I hadn't been on that second park in probably 20 years, so it was fun to revisit it.  There used to be "fitness stations" along that trail, but only about 2-3 of them remain.

I absolutely love this tree!  It has almost a mythic standing in my memory.

Checking out the creek.  What you can't see here is that the mosquitos were out in full force.

Another fitness station

I think she was TRYING to get muddy!
