Saturday Snapshot - October 22

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

Well, we survived the storm.  As far as Pacific Northwest storms go, this one was big...but it was hardly as epic as we had been warned it would be.  Our neighborhood lost a few trees, but that was it.

Anyway, my kids' were supposed to have their fundraising Jog-a-Thon last Friday but, thanks to the storm, it didn't happen.  Instead, we had it today and I ended up being a part of it all.day.long.  It was great fun, but, man!, am I tired.

It was a Superhero-themed run and, as much as my kids may have wanted to run in full regalia, I convinced them to just wear capes.

I love this expression on my son's face!

Another exciting thing that happened this week is that we were BOO-ed!  I'd never heard of this, but we came home and found a basket full of goodies on our doorstep with directions to make 2 other baskets and pass them onto our neighbors.  The kids and I stopped to buy supplies this afternoon and will be distributing our baskets this weekend!
