Saturday Snapshot - December 3

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

We decided to do something new this past Thanksgiving Weekend.  My kids love the movie The Polar Express (I like the book, but I find the movie a bit creepy...but whatever).  There are a number of historic trains around here that do "Polar Express" tours, but we heard that the best was the Mt. Hood Railroad out of Hood River, Oregon.  My father-in-law and brother-in-law were visiting for the holiday, so we decided to surprise the kids.  They didn't know until we pulled into the parking lot what was going on (we just told them we were going for a drive) and they were over the moon when they realized what we were about to do.

They got to wear their pajamas on the tour...which totally blew their minds!  My son completed his look with some major bed-head.

Waiting for the train to leave

Of course Santa was there!

They each got a little bell from Santa, which we'll put on our Christmas tree.  Also, that guy smiling in the background is my father-in-law
