Our New Year's Eve didn't go quite as planned. Thanks to my getting over a cold and there being a Winter Storm Watch out, we opted to stay home. The kids made it up to "New York New Year's" (which is at 9pm for us). And...that was pretty much our excitement for the night. We have a couple more days of break left--the kids go back to school and the hubs back to work on Tuesday, but we have no big plans until then. Really, the only thing on the docket for me is to watch the Packers game this evening! (Go Pack Go!)
Just a quick note, because I decided to start this just today when I was writing a review....I'm going to start noting on my reviews the dates that I finish reading books. I really don't know why I haven't done this in the past, especially since there is frequently a good amount of time between when I finish a book and when the review is published. So, you'll start seeing that in reviews this month, but it will be a "thing" as time goes on.
Now, onto the weekly update!
It's Monday...What Are You Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. Please visit her blog to link up and join the fun!
- The Wicked City by Beatriz Williams
- The Orphan's Tale by Pam Jenoff
- Story Genius: How to Use Brain Science to Go Beyond Outlining and Write a Riveting Novel (Before You Waste Three Years Writing 327 Pages That Go Nowhere) by Lisa Cron
- The Littlest Bigfoot by Jennifer Weiner
- Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow
I have to admit that I haven't actually started The Wicked City and The Orphan's Tale yet, but I will be doing so tonight. I'm looking forward to both of them, as well as making progress on my other books!
