Saturday Snapshot - July 28

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

For the next couple of weeks, I'll be sharing pictures I took on our day trip on July 7.  It ended up being a rather eclectic day with lots of photo ops, so I decided to spread it out over a few weeks of Saturday Snapshots.

The initial purpose of the day was to go to the open house for the camp my daughter will be attending in August.  This will be her first sleepaway camp, so we wanted to give her a chance to check the place out first.

The camp is about 2 hours away from us and we decided to take a more scenic route, which led us through some gorgeous countryside of the mid-Willamette Valley.  While on this little jaunt, we happened across a covered bridge!  There are a few of these in Oregon, but most are tucked out of the way (as this one was) and, in all my years here, I've never actually seen one...until now!

If you can read it, here is the history of the bridge
